It is still staggering how many businesses we encounter who either do not back up their data at all or do not do so in depth. In these days where nearly all the information on the business and its processes are held electronically, loss of a server or other computer which holds vital information that is not backup up can lead to the failure of the entire business.

Of course, with Windows Small Business Server there is an intuitive backup facility to safeguard the data onto local media, a tape or perhaps an external hard drive. This, however, does not cope with the catastrophy that would ensue should there be a fire which destroys both the original data and the local backup media and we promote the use of offsite backups.
